Through a hole in the globe, the sun would align with its shadow at noon, forming a meridian that you can still see today, thanks to the course of copper nails.

Flanders Hotel

Flanders Hotel itself has a rich history. The hotel is located in a building that housed the Grand Hotel Verriest in 1905, at the time the largest hotel in Bruges. The building lost its function as a hotel in 1940 and was renovated again in the 1990s, albeit on a smaller scale.
